National Barrel Horse Association 2010 Finals - 6th Feb 2010
 
Mia Cotter & Ripple cleaned up at the NBHA Finals & High Points, winning the 3rd Division Overall for the finals, which qualified her to the chance to compete in the World Show, USA.
Janice Lancaster rode Lazy Boy in the Open Barrel event. They were equal 2nd in the first go round in the 1st Division.
Bonnie Flood competed in both the open & junior events at the NBHA Finals, seen here riding Spirit in the Open, finishing their run in the 2nd go round with a time of 16.008 seconds.
Chaylee Joe Kong & Ed was 3rd in the 3rd Division (2nd go round) in the Open Finals with a time of 16.665 seconds.
Tamasin Joe Kong was 3rd place in the Division 3 (3rd Go Round) Open Barrel Race Finals with a time of 16.439 seconds.
Jackie Blucher & Candy scored a time of 16.711 in the 2nd go round of the Open Barrel Race Finals.
Paula Donovan rode a place on each of her good horses, her paint Amber being one of them. They placed 2nd in the 2nd division, round 2. Paula was also 3rd in the 1st & 2nd rounds of the 3rd division Open Finals on her two other horses Velvet & Maverick. Paula was also the overall winner of the 2nd Division in Open at the end of the competition.
Katie Vaughn & Bronson stayed on their feet & kept the barrel standing after they swooped around the 2nd barrel in the Open, they finished with a time of 15.506 seconds in the 3rd go round.
Rachel Little & Boggie To A Breeze were 2nd place getters of round 2 in the Open Finals with a time of 16.636 seconds.
Chelsea Bartlett & Woody head for home after their 2nd run in the Junior Barrel Race with a time of 17.497 seconds.
Cheyenne Whitwell & her fast buckskin Rebel turns for the 2nd drum in the Junior Barrel race, the pair were 2nd in the 2nd Division, 2nd go round with a time of 15.856 seconds.
Tamika Anderson rode Libby to a 16.502 second run in the 3rd go round of the Open Barrel Race.
Diana Leeds & Midnight Oil was 1st in the 4th Division 1st go round wit a score of 17.229 seconds.
Katrina Pugsley & Pretty Woman turn & brun in the Open event, scoring a 16.078 second run in their 2nd go round.
There were 3 go rounds in the open event, and 1st-3rd places are awarded in each go round. Out of each event there are 4 divisions according to time. Jenny Harth & Koda were 2nd place in the 1st division, 1st go round of the Open Barrel Race with a time of 15.267 seconds.
Lisa Sutton & Shake N Peppy race for home to score at time of 17.523 seconds to win the 4th division, 3rd go round of the Open Finals.
Best presented rider & horse went to Sue Bartlett & Harley. A keen sponsor of the NBHA, Sue donated lovely hand made wall hangings for high point trophies.
Leotoes Gold & Jordon Moore scored a 16.551 second run in the 2nd go round of the Junior Barrel Race Finals, winning their 3rd Division event.
Don't let the size fool you. Chance Noori and his pint sized pony Dynaco tore home after rounding their final drum to the cheer of the croud. Chance won a youth encouragement award after the finals completed.
The girls put on a grand parade just after lunch before commencing with the 3rd go round for the Open Finals.
Keen sponsor & competitor of the NBHA Marianne Powell, maker of the fabulous Trails End Saddles rode her Izzy Mighty to place 3rd in round 3 of the Open Finals.
Not many could get around Kim Clarke & Tamulena Tivio in the 1st Division of the Open Finals, winning the 1st & 3rd go rounds, (2nd in the 2nd go round), Overall 1st place getter for 1st Division Open, Fastest Time of the Finals, Highest Money Winner at the finals, and also winning the Horsemanship Award, among others! This talented lady has a number of opportunities to ride at the World Show, USA to show for her efforts.
Whitney Burgess & In A Flash flashed around in the 2nd go round of the Open Finals to win the 3rd Division with a time of 16.635 seconds.
A clever way of advertising her sponsor, Western Australian cowgirl Bobby Jo Blake & Tanami County, gave Diamond B Saddles a plug in the Open Finals, where the pair won the 2nd Division in the 2nd round with a time of 16.187 seconds, they also World Show Qualified. Bobby Jo was also the winner overall of the 4th division at the end of competition.
Jo Fisher & Gemma were winners of the 1st division, round 2 of the Open Finals with a score of 16.632 seconds. They qualified for the World Show, USA along with winning a Trails End engraved breast plate & Gist buckle.
Megan Pohlman & the aptly named Yellow were 3rd place getters in the 1st Division, 1st go round of the Open Finals with a time of 15.397 seconds.
Peta Brown & Rocky kick up some dust coming into the turn. They were 3rd place in the 4th Division of the Open Finals, round 2, with a time of 17.854 seconds.
Alina Baisden & Charlie round their 2nd drum in the Open Finals round 3, with a time of 16.686 seconds.
Can this kid ride! Keilen Cox & Jake kept the adults honest- placing 2nd in the 2nd division- round 3 of the Open Finals, also winning the 2nd division - round 1 in the Junior Finals.
Just some of the spoils that went to the winners and place getters of the NBHA finals. Total prizemoney was a whopping $8410 for the open & $940 for the Juniors. Great prizemoney and plenty of great prizes including Gist Buckles, Trails End engraved breast plates & the qualification to compete in the USA World Show. The National Barrel Horse Association is sure to steam ahead with this sort of prizemoney on offer, its loyal support of sponsors & its great members.
