| Hong Kong and Paralympics in the eyes of Ebony Tucker.. - 27th Aug 2008 | |

6 months on from Nicole and Nom arriving at Windsor Farm, we have been though a lot and now the journey is nearly over… We are now in quarantine and leave for Hong Kong for the Paralympics on the 26th of August… Final touches are being put in place and there is no going back!!!! All is going to plan, Nom has settled well into general day to day life at Tonimbuk (quarantine station). The horses receive there final vaccinations etc tomorrow then their feed and work reduced ready for the flight… Nicole competed at the National Championships at the weekend and scored 87% which we were over the moon about as you can imagine! Its great that everyone is now together and you can really feel the "team" environment and the anticipation of what is to come! Our flight leaves I think at 3.30pm so that should have us in H.K around 9.30pm. I have never flown with horses before so am really looking forward to the experience. Robs brother Jim has kindly taken 3 weeks off work to help whilst I am away so business will be as normal for all the horses! I will try to do as many entries as I can whilst I am away however I am a little bit foggy on what I can and can't do in respect to "media" reporting on our website under the rules of the I.O.C Ebony We look forward to Ebony's updates and wish Nicole and the team all the best. | |
